At my grade 3 school play, I said I wanted to be an inventor in the future. I told the audience I wanted to make a tv-telephone, so I could talk to my father when he was on business trips. 6 years later we have the webcam. Seventeen years later, I still hold onto my childhood dream of creating impactful products. I love coming up with crazy ideas, and seeing them come to life!

My multi-disciplinary background in engineering, design and business  aligns well with my future career goals. I graduated with an Industrial Engineering and Management Science degree from Northwestern University in 2010, where I had the opportunity to take many mechanical engineering and computer engineering courses. Post undergrad, I worked in business consulting for 2.5 years, where I truly experienced the meaning of client satisfaction --a concept very applicable to the  user centered design process. As a side project, I had the opportunity to design and manage a new technology platform. I finally decided that I wanted to focus on product development, and decided to pursue a masters in the area at Carnegie Mellon.

My concentration in HCI at Carnegie Mellon has sparked my interest in context aware applications and ubiquitous computing. I would love to augment lives through creating computers that predict human intentions making us more efficient. With my multi-disciplinary knowledge in User Centered design and Engineering, I hope to augment lives one byte at a time.

Who am I?
